AYAG or "Hayag" in Cebuano, a Philippine dialect, means bright, lit, or illuminated.
It is a new brand of handcrafted contemporary objects from the Philippines. The first Collection "The Folding Star" (DFS) is inspired by origami. The components of the collection are small furniture pieces that maybe assembled into architectural elements: the stools can be piled up to create pillars, the storage boxes may be stacked together to create walls or partitions. It has been shown in Frankfurt Ambiente last February, in Cebu X last March and is officially launched on April 2008 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy.
AYAG's design director is France based designer Josef Crisanto. He is also a design professor at Ecole Superieure d'Arts Plastiques de Monaco.
